What makes a good neighbourhood Cafe?
The coffee…. ambiance…..good food…..service….location???
ALL OF THE ABOVE = POSITIVELY PERFECT!!
“Yes, well no fine!” you may say.
Well it is out there, it is a positively perfect cafe experience at the Kitchen Republic Urban Larder and Cafe.
They have their neighbourhood sussed, it is filled with locals, doing the ‘meet and greet’ over a cuppa, be it the well known Excelsior good tasting coffee or tea of your choice. The feeling inside is relax and enjoy! Actually to enjoy is all one can do!
Oh my, the mouth watering cabinet food, the home baked delights, the delicious meals on offer from the menu, and what I have personally have tasted conjures up freshness, delectable and tasty treats to savour and enjoy whether staying or taking away.
I never leave without taking my take home pack of Florentines (special me! -thanks KR!)
I love how they have thought about catering for all ages in their ‘Hood’ offering their home made, olde traditional mini mince pies, NZ old faithful, Louise cake and ginger slice, but keeping up with the food trends with their award winning steak and caramelised onion pie along with their KR notorious chocolate salted caramel brownie.
The staff make you feel at home with their warm, friendly attitude and helpfulness! I must mention that I am an outsider, only in the hood (Otumoetai) on Fridays when that wanting, mouth watering feeling is foremost until satisfied by the Kitchen Republic experience of Keepcup coffee and ‘just out of the oven’, scrumptious cheese and tomato scone along with the caring, friendly attitude floating about in the ‘Highly Commended‘ best neighbourhood cafe, that has everything right for a positively perfect cafe experience….Ka pai!
