How many ticks for the Blackberry Eatery – the new kid on the block?
I headed off today to check out the new kid on the block, Blackberry Eatery. “Eatery seems to be replacing Café the new black!!”
First tick – Allpress coffee, with the reputation of a good roast that precedes it. However the barista can still have the final hand in the making of a good coffee. Sadly, she was a little under pressure today, being only their 2nd day open. 4/5
Second tick – The decor of white walls, floor to ceiling glass windows and fold open doors as well as a large fold open side window with bar stools white, soft gray furnishings with a hint of light wooden counter tops resonates a clean, fresh feel. It is spacious and bright where you can meet up with a group or have a solo moment, but all can experience the enjoyment of watching and pondering over the goings-on. If one chooses, you can partake of this activity by sitting in their outside area which spills out onto the path, looks out to the road and across to more coming and goings. 5/5
Third tick – Cabinet food as well as an extensive all day breakfast menu plus lunch on offer. The prices are on the higher side. I cannot comment on the quality as I did not order any food from the menu. The cabinet food is healthy and fresh in looks. The zucchini kimchi muffin with some nut butter was delicious and an exciting alternative. 5/5
Fourth tick – The staff are still settling in, all seem to be falling over one another. Part of our order was forgotten and the warming instructions left off somehow. Oh well, it always takes time to settle in a new place, especially if you are the new kid on block where there are already a few other kids playing! “Practice makes perfect” 3/5
Fifth tick – Easy free parking! 5/5
So there you have it! Go and see for yourself…how do you rate it? Come back with your own ’ticks’
